Hosted at the Horn Creek Mountain Meadows facility, this brand new camp has been organized with adoptive and foster families in mind. The camp will consist of all the fun, relaxation and family time that Horn Creek is known for — but it will also have a few special extras designed especially for adoptive and foster families. These extras will include a chance to hang out with a diverse group of families from all of the country, some focused discussion time on topics that are particularly relevant for adoptive and foster families as well as a teaching focus on our adoption in Christ. In addition, many of the families that will attend are involved in church adoption and foster care ministry, such as the leaders of Tapestry (Irving Bible Church) and LifeSong for Orphans.
As a ministry to adoptive and foster families Horn Creek is inviting children who have been adopted within the past year or have been in their current foster placement for less than a year to come free of charge. We hope you will consider joining this new and exciting camp.
Hi. We adopted our son, Jake in December of 2009. We are interested in this camp! Would you please tell us what the price would be for the whole family to go? We have a 7 year old, 5 year old, 22 month old (adopted son), and a 13 month old.
Also, do you offer any date nights for the parents to get away and recharge?
So excited you all are offering this to families as a ministry! What a terrific idea!

Megan,
We are really excited about this new camp too! Glad you guys are interested in coming.
Amanda can get in touch with you to help with pricing questions this week, but you can download the registration form and work through it right now. Just go to the page for the camp and scroll down a bit to the big buttons for downloading the registration form. All the pricing is there. Here’s the link to that page: http://www.horncreek.org/?page_id=2180
As for the date night question… That is not something that has been traditionally offered as part of the official programming at Horn Creek, though unofficially arrangements are common between Horn Creek camper families and perhaps some older teens who can watch younger ones from a couple of families. This typically happens during the day as our programing schedule tends to keep everyone together at camp in the evenings.
All that being said, we’ve been talking about adding something more official in this regard for the last couple of years, so we’ll see…
Take a look at that registration form and I’ll have Amanda contact you via email in the next day or so.
