Summer Camps
Family Camps have been a core ministry of Horn Creek for many years, and most of our Family Camps take place in the summer.
Each of our summer Family Camps are named after a Colorado "14ner" mountain (peaks that rise at least 14,000 feet above sea level) and run the same program throughout the summer.
Our camps are carefully designed to give you the freedom and opportunity to connect as a family and with other campers. There are an almost unbelievable number of options in terms of activities and sights with which you can fill your days here, or you can choose to do nothing. Sometimes that is just the ticket for the over-stressed life or family! Most of our campers find that there is a perfect balance somewhere in between those two extremes. But we leave that to you to figure out. Of course, we'll be available to answer your questions and make suggestions.
If you are new to Horn Creek you might want to take some time perusing our website to learn about our recreation, the Sangre De Cristo mountains, and other local attractions.
Along with all that free-time, we're going to serve you three great meals a day, be there to help you however we can, and pour into your lives in a number of ways.
Evening Round-up is our worship and teaching time that happens in the evenings after supper. Round-Up is generally kicked-off each evening by our Horn Creek worship leaders who are great at weaving crazy-fun together with meaningful worship. Then the speaker for the week will lead in a time of teaching. We have a great team of speakers at Horn Creek! They, along with their families contribute greatly to the spiritual dimension of the week with their nightly teaching, brief morning devotions and full participation in the activities of the week. From the Summer Family Camp Calendar you can click on any camp's name and read about the speaker for that week. You can also read about our speaking team here.
Other programming elements of our summer camps include: family games, crafts, movie night, bonfires, Western Night and square dancing, skit night, and a wonderful time of worship and sharing together around the Lord's table at the close of the week.
Please take a look at the Family Camp Calendar to check on the specifics and the availability of each week.
