Mount Princeton – June 13-19

Speaker: Larry Hoskins

Larry lives in Colorado where he has served for the past seventeen years as the Senior Pastor of Grace Church Aurora. In addition to his ministry there, he has served as adjunct faculty for Rocky Mountain Bible College and Seminary, teaching Bible Study Methods, and he serves on the Board of Christian Military Fellowship.

Larry has enjoyed the constant companionship and support of Janet, his wife of almost 26 years. Together, God has blessed them with five children – Chara, Zach, Lindsay, Nathan, and Ben. They are all their pride and joy.

Larry grew up attending Horn Creek with his family and his home church as early as 1969. He began teaching in the 8th Grade in Christian Service Brigade. His parents helped him to memorize the Scriptures through Bible Memory Association (BMA), and he discovered a true love for teaching as he led devotionals for campers at BMA’s summer camps. During his years at Wheaton College (IL), Larry served as a volunteer staff member with Young Life and spent a summer in Amsterdam, Holland ministering to travelers saying at a Christian youth hostel. After completing his studies in Christian Education in 1978, he grew as a pastoral intern for a year at a church in the Philadelphia area. Then, his home church (IBC) invited him to join their staff while he attended DTS. He led IBC’s College and Career ministry and later enjoyed returning to High School ministry. Larry graduated from DTS in 1983 with a Masters of Theology in Bible Exposition.

Larry returned to the Philadelphia area as the Minister of Christian Education and Youth at “The Blue Church” – a nickname given to the ministry where he served for eight years. During his last two years there, he was tasked with the additional responsibilities of Leadership Development and Evangelism. Larry also led the youth on missions trips to the inner city of North Philadelphia and to the Asian refugees there.

Besides preaching and teaching, during his years at his present ministry, Larry has enjoyed the privilege of leading small groups, discipling men, serving as an Elder, singing on the Worship Team, and ministering alongside of the High School students from GCA on at least fourteen different missions trips to Mexico.

Larry enjoys playing with his kids, football, racquetball, singing, and relaxing around the piano. He is especially looking forward to his time with you.
