Summer Staff
The Horn Creek summer staff program is a 12 week experience for young adults that can truly be life changing. You will serve and minister to our guests and kids at Horn Creek as well as participate in small groups, worship, teaching, and even find some time to play in the mountains.
“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.” 1 Thess 2:8
What to Expect this Summer
The vision and ministry of Horn Creek is to provide an environment where individuals and families can truly get away and get with God. We also take seriously our opportunity to minister to the young adults who work at Horn Creek each summer. If you come to serve with us, you will be given opportunities to grow in the following areas: weekly worship services, small groups, bible studies, mentoring, fellowship, fun outings with other summer staff and leaders, and opportunities to explore God's amazing creation here in the Rockies.
We want you to grow, and we are committed to your spiritual growth while you are at Horn Creek.
Horn Creek and the Wet Mountain Valley Area
The area around Horn Creek includes numerous mountain lakes, mountain peaks including several "fourteeners", and miles and miles of trail starting right out our back door!
On-camp activities include a high ropes challenge course, horseback riding, climbing wall, indoor gym, racquet ball, bowling, waterslides, pool, horseshoes, kayaking, frisbee golf, low ropes challenge course, alpine swing, numerous picnic and campfire areas, fishing, two mountain streams running through the property, and tremendous scenic views.
Local recreation nearby includes horseback riding on a local working ranch, rafting on the Arkansas River, mountain biking, mountain lakes with fishing, numerous mountain towns, “fourteener” mountain peaks, local restaurants and picnic areas, and more.
We are about an hour and a half from Colorado Springs and three hours from Denver.
