Give Your Time
To be a Horn Creek Volunteer all you need is a talent, skill, experience, or just a God-given desire to help. Most volunteers help us on site here at Horn Creek volunteering from one day to several weeks. We welcome volunteers as young as 13 years of age when accompanied by an adult (due to insurance and government regulations). Tools are usually not a necessity but a lot of volunteers like to work with their own tools and bring their own. We will provide room and board, free recreation, and a simple work schedule that we would like for you to follow while you are with us. We will provide helpful supervision and materials.
If you are interested in volunteering, you may email Jim Hess at jimhess@horncreek.org

Why you should give your time and talents at Horn Creek...

To Be a Servant
The number one reason to come and give your time at Horn Creek is that is a great service to us and all of the thousands of guests that come to Horn Creek every year. In serving this community, you are serving the Lord!

To Be With Us
If you come and volunteer at Horn Creek you will immediately feel like you have been given a "back stage pass" to what goes on here. You'll get to hang out with our staff and get to know us. Some people think we're pretty fun.

To Be Here
Whenever you come as a volunteer we also give you opportunities to enjoy being on the mountain! That means that while we're covering your room and board to be here, we'll still give you time to play. What a deal!
A few ways we can use your time and talents at Horn Creek...

The Projects
Construction, remodeling, painting, grounds keeping, wood splitting, etc... There are always plenty of projects around here to get done, and we rely heavily on our volunteers to help us with these types of things. If you are skilled in a particular area we'd love to utilize that skill, but we can show how to do a lot of stuff. You might actually learn something.

The Kitchen
If you love to work in the kitchen we have a deal for you! We can often use some help with our food services. We'll put you to work under one of our experienced cooks. We'll put any kitchen skills you have to work, or we'll teach you what to do. You'll be a blessing and gain some great experience to boot!

The Guests
Anytime volunteers can help us with the general service we provide to our guests, it blesses our staff and enriches the Horn Creek community. Most of our volunteers are folks who have already experienced Horn Creek as campers and understand what this means. We believe that service and worship go hand in hand, so however you pitch in at Horn Creek, we see that as an act to worship to the Lord.
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.
This is truly the way to worship him.
