The Peak @ Horn Creek

Introducing a brand new Horn Creek summer program specifically designed to come alongside small and medium sized youth groups!

Our goal at The Peak is to strengthen the church by giving intentional opportunities for youth leaders to connect with their kids in an outdoor environment, while leading them towards deeper intimacy with Christ.

Through strategic recreation, adventure programming and teaching, The Peak seeks to help encourage leaders and their kids to work together, build trust, grow in leadership, and hunger for more of Christ. As our week goes on, we seek to figuratively (and maybe actually) climb the Peak together as we seek to tackle key issues that challenge our faith.

Our leadership team will come alongside youth leaders to help train and lead them to connect with their kids. Our daily schedule will include devotional and small group breakouts, nightly teaching, campfires, challenging outdoor recreation, games and programming, and intentional small group challenges.

Each student will have an opportunity to hike in the outdoors, go whitewater rafting, be challenged on high ropes and low ropes elements, go horseback riding, swimming, kayaking, waterslides and more.

At the end of the week, each small group of students will be given a challenge as a team to overcome, and then have an opportunity to apply what they learned in the context of their lives.

Horn Creek Leadership

Significant leadership for The Peak is provided by the Horn Creek internship team under the direction of Jeff Fox, Director of Discipleship and Spiritual Formation at Horn Creek. The Horn Creek interns, most of whom are already college graduates, are involved in a program of intentional ministry, service and discipleship. Find our more about the Horn Creek internship program here.

Director of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship

Jeff Fox was raised in Pleasanton, California. He grew up attending Westminster Woods Summer Camp and later worked on staff during his college summers. Jeff also worked at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson, MO after graduation from Westmont College in 1994, and then he spent seven years with K-Life Ministries in St. Louis. Jeff was an area director and regional director for K-Life, leading clubs and bible studies, training interns and volunteers, and helping oversee other K-Life areas in Missouri and Iowa. Jeff then received a Masters of Divinity from Covenant Seminary while working for Greentree Community Church in Kirkwood, MO as the young adult director of Damascus Road. Most recently Jeff has been at Horn Creek working as the Manager of Recreation and Director of the internship program. Jeff met his wife Leslie at Westmont College during their freshman year. They have been married since 1995 and have two girls, Emily and Sydney. In his spare time, Jeff loves to go on trail runs, cross country and downhill ski, hike, chop wood, and spend as much time in the outdoors as possible.

While growing up in Colorado, Leslie Fox spent summers at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson, MO where she developed a heart for camp ministry and experienced their impacting value. She attended Westmont College and graduated from Cal State Northridge in 1995. Marrying Jeff that summer was the best thing she ever did...the start of an incredible adventure! Besides helping in the youth ministry of K-Life of St. Louis for 7 years, she took on the full-time job of being mom to their girls. Living at camp and experiencing ministry together as a family in the mountains of Colorado is an absolute dream come true for her. Leslie enjoys having people in her home, encouraging her husband and substitute teaching at the local school.
